Dream beyond shadows

Dream beyond shadows

Dream beyond shadows is an exceptionally well-written travelogue by Kartikey Ladha which is an Amazon bestseller!

SUMMARY

Kartikey was working as a door-to-door salesman for a solar energy startup based in Brooklyn, New York which was his first job after being a graduate of a business school. It was one of the most successful community solarization programs in the U.S., and soon he became a team leader and also the highest-earning member of the company. But something inside him told him that he has some unanswered questions, about the purpose of his life and he sets out on a spiritual venture. He quits his job, meets his family in India, visits Peru, and stays there for three months. In those three months, he meets dozens of people and bonded with each of them in an exceptional way! He attends the renowned Ayahuasca vine session through the tribal magic of shamanic ceremonies in the Amazon jungle, which happens to be a life-changing experience for him!

“Experiences drive change, and accepting change is what determines an individual’s growth.”

PERSONAL REVIEWS

The travelogue is really well written. I appreciate the author for the vivid description of everything that he saw and felt. The imageries are so well used that I could visualize the scenario in front of my eyes. The cover of the book is really pretty, the wild mixture of purples, pinks, and blues is so eye-soothing. I also like that there have been images added at suitable places for the readers to understand the author’s words better.

The book is divided into three parts and I feel the first two parts are more interesting than the third one, though it does get better at the end. I love the poetic pieces added in the midst of the narration. It brought together the poetic emotions of the author and are, simply to put, beautifully written. The realizations and the deep content made me pause and reflect on them and I can say it well deserves a read. This is the first time that I read a travelogue and completely loved it!

“A life of regrets and disappointments is not a life worth living.”
